I am Aditya Singhania, General Secretary, Sports and Games, IIT Kharagpur. I am a third-year undergraduate student enrolled in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. I have been an active part of the squash and cricket teams since joining IIT Kharagpur. I was the Overall Coordinator for the 54th Inter IIT Sports Meet. I have looked after the Sports Contingent of Kharagpur and successfully helped in bringing the General Championship Cup home after 14 years. As the former Secretary of Squash Subcommittee, Technology Students’ Gymkhana I have worked towards improving the status and facilities of squash in the KGP sports fraternity. I believe that sports are an integral part of a student’s college life and aid a student in leaning key values while also keeping them mentally and physically fit. I believe that WIN India Movement initiated by all the IIT’s together aims to spread awareness about the importance of fitness and health. Also, I am always up for the welfare of the sports community of IIT Kharagpur and strongly believe in the motto “Dedicated to the service of the nation”.
