A 14 year old dreamt of becoming a master of his own self and assiduously worked towards his dream.

He became part of a local social organisation at that age for doing community service and as such started gaining interaction skills and leadership activities. At the age of 16 he started his own company to trade in printing - printing of bill books, visiting cards, college magazines etc. at the same time he also founded the Leo club of Malad East of which he became president 2 years later.

Then after 2 years, due to family pressures he had to come out of that business and concentrate on studies. He cleared his CA entrance examination and started working for a CA firm. However he could not forget his goal. 2 year later at the age of 18, he cofounded ‘Manoranjan’ - a Video and TV hiring business... it flourished very well and we even decided to start our cable operating business. But there was an intense pressure again from the family and he had to give up this business also. For next 3 years he concentrated on his studies and cleared his CA. At around the same time in 1986, he was offered a business proposal in partnership by a neighbour and the foundation for the current business was laid and in 1987, Gangwal Chemicals Pvt Ltd was incorporated. Those were the days of intense struggle - miles of walking in sun, waiting endlessly for the BEST bus to arrive - rain and sun was just a slight discomfort in his extreme passion to become a master of his own..

Anil Jain, a CA by qualification, first generation entrepreneur, philanthropist, with support from family and friends and well-wishers ventured into the starch and derivatives business and with a short span of 5 years, he became well known in the starch community.

In late 1989 he co-founded Rotary Club of Mumbai Versova which was chartered in May 90 and he was the charter secretary and went on to become the next president. Anil never compromised on his passion to serve the community and was given a very rare appreciation by Rotary International by conferring on the Club SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. He is a Major Donor too.

In The year 1992, he co-founded S A Pharmachem Pvt Ltd. With two of his childhood friends Sunil Kabra and Suresh Deora and transferred the entire business from Gangwal to SAP.

In 2002, Anil’s father, a renowned pharmacist joined him and Gangwal was restarted focused towards supplying very high end speciality excipients. Today Gangwal group comprises of the following
