Akanksha has around 8 years of work experience in science, academics and corporate world.She is an experienced Regulatory Affairs professional with significant industry know-how across Health supplements/Nutraceuticals/ Conventional Food products especially focussed on product registrations, labelling, formulation, nutrition and health claims filings in India, US, EU, Australia and APAC region.

She started her career as a Post Doctoral Fellow (Chemistry) at IIT Bombay and moved on to take up a role as an Assistant Professor (Chemistry). Then she finally found her calling in regulatory affairs in the corporate world.

During her stint at OmniActive, she has significantly contributed in the development of internal and external regulatory Policies &best practices to meet the regulatory needs of global markets for dietary supplements.

Akanksha holds a Phd in Medicinal Chemistry. She was awarded NET-JRF and SRF fellowships from Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).

She has published more than 13 international peer reviewed papers/book chapters during her research career. She regularly speaks at regulatory forums & is closely involved in framing the FSSAI regulatory policies through industry associations.
