Dr. Priya Rao is a Doctorate in Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry. She completed her Pharmacy graduation as well as postgraduation in Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry from the prestigious Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She also has a D.Litt award to her credit. She has over 15 publications in reputed National & International Journals as well as presentations at various seminars/conferences. She is of the firm belief that teaching is one of the noblest professions & her passion for teaching encouraged her to join the world of academics. She has worked at various positions such as Dean-Life Sciences, Principal-Pharmacy in her 17 years of career and was instrumental in designing course curriculum to suit the current industry needs.

Presently she is working as the Principal at Pravara Rural College of Pharmacy, Pravaranagar, Maharashtra and is striving to bridge the gap between industry & academia and encouraging the students to think out of the box.
