Dr. Supriya Patil is a Professor in the Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) of the Savitribai Phule Pune University and also the Course coordinator for the MBA (Pharma-Biotechnology) program. Currently, she also has the additional charge as the Head, of the Department of Commerce. She has graduated in Microbiology from Mumbai University, followed by Masters in Biotechnology from Madurai Kamraj University. She has completed her PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in Cell Biology. Subsequently she has worked for several years in the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland Ohio for Postdoctoral research. She is also a MBA degree from Pune University. She has published research papers in several national and international publications. Her research interest is to understand the behaviour of consumers towards Nutraceuticals. Her research involves study of acceptance of Dietary supplements by people.

She has been a member of Board of Studies in Pune University and also serves on several committees of the department and university. She is a coordinator in the IQAC team of the university and actively involved in all IQAC activities. In addition, she also is the faculty in-charge of the Cultural Cell of the department.
